We’re very excited to announce major infrastructure upgrades are planned across all shared (cPanel) and VPS servers. Please note - this affects only services ordered before July 2025. All services ordered more recently already use our new NVMe hardware.
As part of our continuous improvement efforts, every server will be upgraded to NVMe storage and AMD EPYC CPUs, delivering faster performance, improved reliability, and a smoother hosting experience for all clients. All PHP versions will continue to be supported.
Please note: The new servers will have new hostnames. The old hostnames will be repointed to the new systems and will keep working, so if you use these in DNS records, they do not need updating. However for simplicity we recommend using the new hostnames where possible.
Unless mentioned otherwise all migrations will run between 6pm and 6am local time, outside main business hours.
The rollout schedule for our Toronto and Singapore locations is now below. Our USA, EU and India region schedules will be posted here later in November (approx. by Nov 20th). We will not run any migrations around busy periods (eg Black Friday, Cyber Monday, holidays). Our aim is to complete all migrations by the end of January.
Thank you for your continued trust in us as we enhance our platform’s speed and stability.
FastComet Team.
